UPAA-W’s Carolina Conti, MD Receives MHS Health 8th Annual Summit Award

CContiMD MHS Award

MHS Health Wisconsin (MHS Health), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), presented its 8th Annual Summit Award to Carolina Conti, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician in Milwaukee.

The award acknowledges healthcare professionals for providing exemplary care and clinical excellence to MHS Health members throughout Wisconsin. A single award is presented annually.

“MHS Health Wisconsin is committed to recognizing Wisconsin healthcare professionals for the excellent care they provide to our members,” said Robert Lyon, MD, chief medical officer for MHS Health. “We are pleased to recognize Dr. Conti for the ongoing contributions she makes to improve the care, quality and long-term health outcomes of our members.”

Winners of the annual Summit Award demonstrate superior performance in areas such as:

  • Establishing a “patient-centered medical home” for new enrollees by promoting the member-primary-care-physician relationship. In the medical home model, each person has a primary care provider, who manages all healthcare needs throughout the patient’s life.
  • Routine preventive and well-care services for both adults and children.
  • Open access to appointments and follow-up care after emergency room and hospital visits.

Dr. Conti received her award Oct. 16.
