Noel Izon

Filmmaker and Producer

Born in the Philippines in the aftermath of WWII and now lives in the United States, Izon is an award-winning filmmaker who brings little known stories to light. Prior to “An Open Door”, his film “An Untold Triumph” aired on PBS stations in prime time to millions of households across the country.

Bonnie Harris

Professor & Historian @ San Diego State University

A Holocaust scholar. Harris acted as the film’s associate producer and consulting historian. The documentary is based on research Harris conducted while she was working on her Ph.D. dissertation. Published in January 2020 is Harris’ new book “Philippine Sanctuary: A Holocaust Odyssey”.
