Amid COVID-19 pandemic, UPAAW members, families and friends gathered for camaraderie, food and lots of fun! Mindful of the coronavirus, everyone practiced social distancing and wore face masks. We also supported one of our local businesses here in Milwaukee by ordering our food from Meat on the Street – a food truck owned and operated by a young Filipina entrepreneur who has received rave reviews from food enthusiasts in the area. Food was great and truly was a nostalgic gastronomic homecoming – loaded with deliciously curated delicacies like lumpia, adobo, barbeque on skewers, and of course, halo-halo!
Most of all, it was filled with so much fun! Enjoy and hopefully we will see you join our next summer picnic. Stay safe and healthy!
