It was a true joy for members of UPAA-W to return for the second time this year to volunteer at the Open Door Café, located at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in downtown Milwaukee. On Sunday, August 10th 2025, we had the privilege of serving approximately 85 adults and children with a nourishing meal and warm smiles.
Our guests enjoyed ham sandwiches, Oreo cookies, granola bars, apples, peaches, cupcakes, milk, and coffee. In addition to the meal, we were delighted to distribute brand-new Harley-Davidson t-shirts generously donated by the Philippine Center—an unexpected and appreciated gift for all who came.
We are deeply grateful to our dedicated volunteers: Dr. Singson, Christine, Lucy, Trina, Eli, Joey, Erick, Eden, and Ito. Your time, energy, and compassion made this day truly special.
We look forward to seeing you at our next Feed the Hungry event on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Together, we continue to make a difference—one meal, one smile, one act of kindness at a time.
