UPAA-W held another successful Feed the Hungry event on Sunday, October 26. We were able to serve about 100 guests a hearty meal of chicken adobo, pancit, rice, bananas, coffee, and milk. A special addition this year was the distribution of brand new Harley hooded sweaters, made possible through our collaboration with the Philippine Cultural and Civic Foundation (PCCCF), Dr. Letty Cueto, Dr. Liezl Cueto Sampang, and her daughter Isabella Sampang.
Key to the success of this event were UPAA-W board members and members Fe Visaya, Christine Hey, Eli and Trina Bando, Erick and Eden Orille, Ike and Gina Pahm, and Jojo and Gerry Ramos, who prepared adobo in their homes and helped serve food during the event. Fe Visaya also brought delicious biko (a Filipino sticky rice cake), adding a sweet touch to the already sumptuous feast. Of course, no Filipino feast is complete without hefty servings of white rice, prepared and served by Board President Ito Conti and board member Ike Pahm.

Also present at the event was Kathy Carr of Global Inspirations, one of UPAA-W’s most generous sponsors, who helped serve food to the guests.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jane Cueto Leh and her children, Annabelle and Coliin, for distributing warm gear sets through their “Warm Hands, Warm Hearts” program, now in its fourth year.

Overall, it was a productive and meaningful day that deepened UPAA-W’s commitment to serving the Southeastern Wisconsin community.
